Description

Ulmus parvifolia

The bark of the Chinese Elm is a real stand out feature, as the tree sheds it in patches, creating the effect of a tapestry of varying browns and greys. Foliage is lush, shiny and green, and the tree is semi deciduous, turning golden in autumn, and keeping its leaves in warmer areas. It has also been noted by many Aussie gardeners in recent years that native birds enjoy the fruit of the Chinese Elm.

Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'

Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South.
Prunus armeniaca  The Divinity is a heavy-bearing apricot that, once mature, is an early-bloomer. It produces medium-sized clingstone fruit that are sweet to taste straight off the tree, and are exceptionally good for drying. A must have, as once it begins fruiting you’ll have more apricots then you know what to do with! This plant is bare-rooted. Click here for more info on bare rooted plants.
