Most Cape Chestnuts on the market are grown from seed and take many years to flower. This means that the flowers vary from pale mauve to rich pink. Renowned horticulturist Peter Tease has selected a beautiful pink Cape Chestnut and grafted it onto Cape Chestnut seedlings. This will flower in only 1-2 years. These are ideal if you want to do a mass planting, have a reliable pink or if you don’t want to wait for it to flower.
