The foliage is a mid to light green and is covered with masses of scented white flowers through Spring and Summer. This attractive shrub will grow to approx. 1.5 - 2m, but is happy to be clipped to suit. As a result it can be also used as a hedge or screen. It is best grown in full sun or part shade and is reasonably frost tolerant.

Beaucarnea recurvata

The Ponytail Palm is an evergreen minature tree that is native to semi-desert areas of certain South American countries. It is commonly grown as a houseplant and not only has aesthetic foliage but also produces creamy white flowers. Pony Tail Palms are noted for having a large, swollen, water-retaining base. Its trunk bears thin, flat, palm-like leaves. It is drought tolerant and is best placed in a position of full sunlight. Requires low maintenance.
