Viburnum plicatum

The pink flowering variety of Viburnum plicatum, a deciduous shrub that produces white flowers aging to pink in late spring early summer. The blooms are a combination of large infertile flowers and small, fertile flowers in the middle. If the blooms are fertilized they will mature to ornamental rose red fruits that age to black (inedible). Viburnums are vigorous shrubs that becomes dry tolerant once they establish. They will grow in average soils, but prefer the idealist, humus rich, moist, well drained. Suitable for a part shade to full sun position. Prune out the odd vertical branch after flowers. 12"/30cm pot
