Pyrus pyrifolia

Pyrus pyrifolia are native to Asian pears from China, Japan & Korea and date back to the 16th Century. Nashi Pears are more round like an apple, rather than European varieties that are a true pear shape. Shinsui is a vigorous, upright, sparsely branched tree with broad round oval leaves. Small to medium size, light yellow-brown russet skin. Flesh is fine textured, crisp, crunchy, juicy, flavorful, very sweet. Requires pollinating, try using Nijisseili (20th Century) Pear for best results. 10"/25cm pot size.
