The sweet scented, deep purple flowers are also held in rosettes and appear from Autumn to early Spring. Sweet Violet prefers to grow in rich, moist and shaded locations. All soil types are acceptable, but free draining sandy or light soils are preferred and will give ideal results. Open areas under trees are ideal, where they may receive dappled shade and sunlight. Great plant for adding colour to your garden. | Acmena smithii ‘Firescreen’Firescreen Lilly Pillies are an attractive Australian native fast growing shrub. Their new foliage growth is glossy and copper red in colour, maturing to mid green. Firescreen is an excellent Lilly Pilly for screening as it grows large - up to 6 meters tall. It gets its name from its fire resistance and tolerance to withering 40 degree days. Firescreen Lilly Pillies prefer a position of full sunlight to reach their full height and thickness.
