Cupressus macrocarpa

Monterey Cypress a large evergreen tree conifer which lives long and grows large in perfect conditions. Native to coastal California, it suits coastal conditions and has the unique tendancy to be "sculptured" by the wind over time as it grows. The foliage grows in dense sprays, bright green in color. The leaves are scale-like and produced on rounded shoots. Makes a good windbreak in coastal areas. 10" pot size, approximately 2ft in height.

Acer palmatum, Sango-kaku, Coral Bark Maple

You simply can’t miss the Senkaki Maple with it’s distinctive coral-red bark, which contrasts with its bright green leaves in Spring and Summer. Autumn sees the foliage turn gold and eventually Winter leaves you with a beautiful bare sculpture of a tree with striking red bark. One of the beauty queens of all deciduous trees.

Wisteria sinensis 'Alba'

Chinese White Wisteria is the gorgeous white variety of the highly popular Wisteria sinensis. The sinensis varieties are very popular due to their blooms appearing on bare vines in the spring, before the leaves appear. It makes for a gorgeous feature of solid, fragrant colour. Wisteria sinensis is a very hardy twisting vine that prefers a full sun position in a moist, well drained humus soil. The gorgeous white flowers of the Wisteria sinensis 'Alba' are slightly smaller than that of the Wisteria floribunda 'Alba', hanging 18-30cm long off the vine. Content BoxOz Lonicera has been specially developed by Chris, and is our exclusive hedging plant. It has a deeper green foliage, a denser finish and more clearly defined shape than the traditional English Box. BoxOz Lonicera is the best plant with which to create your perfect hedge or border as it grows quickly and once your hedge has developed its easy to maintain with only a few trimmings a year. New shoots are soft and easy to cut and trimming is an effortless relaxing experience. Some traditional hedging plants grow only an inch or two a year. BoxOz Lonicera will produce a calf high border in under twelve months, a knee high hedge in around 18 months, and a waist high hedge in 30 months. Almost any soil is suitable, as long as it is not too swampy. Fertilise your BoxOz Lonicera occasionally with a complete fertiliser, and water as required. The Japanese Senkaki Maple is the only maple tree which provides beautiful vibrant colour all year round, with it’s bright coloured bark that really stands out in winter. This is why it is commonly known as Coral Bark Maple. The Senkaki Maple is a beautiful small tree and is one of the best examples of a Japanese maple, providing your garden with a lovely small feature tree as a centre piece. It grows approximately 4-5m wide and high. Light green foliage appears in spring then turns to classic autumn tones. As the leaves start to fall the stems of the trees turn to a “fire engine red” colour for winter. This superb tree makes a wonderful feature in any sheltered spot in the garden.
