| Description | Ginkgo bilobaThe Ginkgo or Maidenhair Tree is remarkably known as a 'living fossil', as it is the sole survivor of an ancient group of trees that date back to beyond the time of the dinosaurs. It is a perfect specimen or feature tree due to its long life and showy light green leaves which turn golden in Autumn. The leaves are an interesting ruffled shape. The Maidenhair Tree remains virtually unchanged today and represents the only living bridge between 'higher' and 'lower' plants (between ferns and conifers). Maidenhair trees can be extremely long-lived, the oldest recorded individual being 3,500 years old. | Helleborus nigerCommon names: Winter Rose or Helleborus Honeyhill Joy has large cream centred white flowers that have a green tinge as they age, creating a stunning contrast to the blue tinged foliage of this compact variety. Has a strong climbing habit, so needs a post, log, trellis, or tree to grow on. Set the Philodendron in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. Find a position near a window where the sun’s rays never actually touch the foliage. While it’s normal for older leaves to yellow, if this happens to several leaves at the same time, the plant may be getting too much light.
