Description

Salvia longistyla x farinacea

One of the smallest of the Salvia family, 'Mystic Spires' produce broad, green leaves with blooms of dark blue atop long stems. Salvia's will bloom throughout the season if deadheaded regularly. Pruning after flowering is finished will ensure strong bushy regrowth for the next season. Salvia 'Mystic Spires' are suitable for pots, planters and full sun to part shade positions in the garden. Though thought of as a Cottage perennial, they suit a wide range of applications, including mass planting in Modern or Lush & Leafy gardens. Ligularia dentata reniformis

Tractor Seat is an outstanding clump-forming foliage plant with large kidney-shaped glossy green leaves that resemble a tractor seat. During summer, long stems of yellow daisy-like flowers rise above the foliage. Thrives in full sun to partly shaded position. Apply a slow-release fertiliser once a year to promote healthy new growth. Ligularia dentata reniformis can grow up to 1m high and 1m wide. 6''/15cm pot

Malus domestica Granny Smith apples are the green apple of Aussie choice, originating in Australia. While we eat them raw by the bucketload, they're really best as a cooking apple and a key ingredient of Apple Crumble. Granny Smith apples also make great cider. Remember that apple trees need to be planted near other apple trees so that they can pollinate each other and produce fruit. Ideal companions for Granny Smith apple trees are Snow, Fuji and Pink Lady. Purple Smoke Bush is a gem in the garden thanks to it's unique blend of colours that change throughout the seasons. A large deciduous shrub or small tree, its beautiful eye-catching Spring foliage is green overlaid with purple. Summer brings deep purple foliage that then turns deep orange and bronze in a burst of glory for an Autumn show. Purple Smokebush gets its name from the clouds of smoke-like purple and pink "flowers" it produces in early Summer. These are very beautiful themselves, and are prized along with the foliage by florists. Grows best in full sun to partial shade and it is tolerant of drought and most soils, making it a great addition to many gardens. 10" pot size.

Sweet Alyssum, a long blooming perennial with masses of fragrant, pale pink flowers almost all year round. Will work great as a ground cover and ideal for pots where it will cascade over the edge. 6''/14cm pot
