Flowering season is late spring, weeks after the tree puts on foliage again. 8" pot size | Juglans nigraBlack Walnut is a tree originally from North America featuring dark-coloured timber and bark with edible seeds. The nuts are harder to extract than those of the more common walnut varieties. Black Walnut is highly valued for its wood, being used extensively for furniture and in other industries such as shipbuilding. Black Walnut is usually found in deep, well-drained moist soils. The tree requires abundant sun and is not tolerant to shade.
