The Elvins Flowering Plum is a perfect little round deciduous tree with stunning autumn colours, come spring time pops of blossom unfurl into white flowers which magically change colour to coral pink. What a journey! The best option for a smaller garden as this tree may be little but mighty in personality.

Native to the Mediterranean, the bay tree is well known for its culinary use, often added to soups and stews. It is an upright, hardy evergreen tree with deep green, aromatic foliage. Leaves are glossy and oval in shape and hang from red-brown branches. In spring, yellow buds appear, opening to clusters of fluffy yellow flowers, adding a lovely contrast amongst the foliage. It can grow up to 10 meters tall in 5 years on a rural property. However for the urban block they are easily maintained at a height of 3m, perfect for hedging, avenues, and windbreaks. Recommended planting is 1.5m apart for dense hedging. It is very tough and hardy and will cope with extended dry periods and extreme cold once established.
