Malus purpurea

The Purple Crab Apple makes a handsome small tree, quite round topped in maturity. With beautiful flowers which are a deep, red-purple colour creating an effect that looks almost unbelievably rich. A great specimen tree, in Autumn the Purple Crab Apple has dark purple fruit and leaves which turn shades of yellow and red. 13" pot size.

Alocasia macrorrhiza/macrorrhizos

They are also called Giant Taro, large, glossy emerald green leaves up to one metre long held high. The striking leaves have prominent veining on the underside of the leaves and provide great swathes of colour contrast as a background to lower flower borders. They also go well in pots or tubs but may only reach one to a half metres in height.
