Acer rubrum

Common names: Lipstick Maple Acer rubrum ‘Bowhall’ is an outstanding choice for streetscapes and avenues, thanks to its narrow, columnar habit and rapid growth. Its brilliant orange-red autumn foliage provides a spectacular seasonal highlight, while delicate red flowers appear in early to mid spring. Highly adaptable, it thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil but tolerates a wide range of soil types and conditions. Cold-hardy and wind-resistant, ‘Bowhall’ is both beautiful and resilient.

Dendrocalumus "Thai Black Asper Bamboo"

Thai Black Asper Bamboo is probably the best black bamboo to grow in cooler climates such as South East Australia. Its attractive black stalks are streaked with green. However it is the largest black bamboo out and is quite vigorous, so allow it plenty of space. Black Asper Bamboo stands up to cold much better than other black bamboos. Great as a screen or wall on larger properties, this black beauty can reach heights of 25 metres! 8" pot size, approximately 3ft in height.
ContentRoses are easily one of the most popular and widely cultivated groups of flowering plants. Numerous different cultivars have been produced over the last tow centuries although roses have been grown for millennia before their popularity bloomed. Renown for their flowers and beauty they are also loved for other reasons such as their fruit, the rose hip which can be made into an old fashioned jam or for garden uses such as ground covers and hedging. Roses range in size and variety from your standard and bush roses right up there with your climbers and weeping varieties, amongst all their beautiful colour, variety and hardy nature there is bound to be the perfect rose out there for your garden.
