Description

Coleonema pulchellum aurea

Golden Diosma is one of the most popular garden shrubs. It has fine, small bright green-gold foliage which darkens in summer. Fragrant flowers and leaves release a beautiful scent when brushed past. 6''/14cm pot

Lagerstroemia indica 'Enduring Summer Red'

'Enduring Summer Red' is the first Crepe Myrtle to flower every summer with big blooms of deep red flowers that continue through until late autumn. A compact shrub that adds a splash of color and interest to the garden all year long; with rusty, red-orange autumn foliage that drops in winter, followed by red early spring foliage that turns to green. This compact shrub grows to about 1.5 high and wide. Crepe Myrtle is a small to a medium-sized deciduous shrubby tree that is well adapted to perform beautifully in the Australian heat. Drought tolerant, these trees bear masses of blooms with a crepe-paper like texture in Summer, when nothing much else is flowering. A deciduous tree, the foliage turns bright orange-red in Autumn before falling making it perfect to plant on the northern side of the garden to allow precious Winter sun to shine through. Crepe Myrtle responds well to pruning and is frost hardy and mildew resistant.

Quercus robur

English Oaks are famous for being solid and strong. The trunk and secondary branches are very solid and are covered in thick blackish-grey bark which makes it quite a sight. The autumn foliage is a rich, dark brown. As the foliage is smaller than other deciduous trees, fallen leaves are not particularly difficult to eliminate and will not clog drains. 10"/25cm pot

Ulmus parvifolia

The bark of the Chinese Elm is a real stand out feature, as the tree sheds it in patches, creating the effect of a tapestry of varying browns and greys. Foliage is lush, shiny and green, and the tree is semi deciduous, turning golden in autumn, and keeping its leaves in warmer areas. It has also been noted by many Aussie gardeners in recent years that native birds enjoy the fruit of the Chinese Elm.

Melissa officinalis 'Lime'

Lime Balm is a perennial herb that shares many characteristics with its cousins lemon balm and mint. It is as easy to grow with a distinct lime fragrance. When planted in the garden it enjoys a moist soil with dappled light. Like Mint, Lime Balm can grow quite quickly, spreading to its garden borders, so be sure to plant it in a contained garden bed or pot should this be an issue. Also like its cousins, Lime Balm will die down or back completely in the colder months, but rest assured it will return every year as lush and leafy as ever! Lime Balm can be used in many culinary dishes as well as dried for tea or pot pourri! And if none of these tickle your fancy, this plant is absolutely gorgeous along garden edges in Cottage, Potted or Culinary gardens, adding that gorgeous lime fragrance when you brush past. 4"/10cm pot size.
