Description

Philodendron hastatum

A very rare and unusual philodendron with silver, almost metallic-looking foliage. Has a strong climbing habit, so needs a post, log, trellis, or tree to grow on. Set the Philodendron in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. Find a position near a window where the sun’s rays never actually touch the foliage. While it’s normal for older leaves to yellow, if this happens to several leaves at the same time, the plant may be getting too much light. On the other hand, if the stems are long and leggy with several inches between leaves, the plant probably isn’t getting enough light 7''/18cm pot on totem

Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote'

Hidcote Lavender is a dwarf bush with aromatic silver-green leaves bearing slender spikes of dark purple-blue flowers during spring and summer. The flowers are darker in colour than Munstead lavendar but Hidcote does not grow quite as tall. It is an ideal container or border plant. Hidcote prefers a full sun to part shade position. It is perfect for hot and dry areas with a well draining soil as lavenders do not like to be soggy.
