They are frost hardy in most if not all Australian gardens. Last year in our own garden they were in flower from late spring until mid-autumn. 6"/14cm pot | Pennisetum alopecuroides Commonly known as: Swamp foxtail grass, Chinese fountain grass, Ornamental native grass. A native tufted perenial grass with feathery flowers, grown to be a tougher, hardier variety of Pennisetum reaching only a max of 60x60cm. It also has better winter colour and finer foliage and is non invasive. Plant in full sun to part shade. Perfect for mass planting, rockeries, borders and landscape grass. | Westringia fruticosaZena is a low-growing, evergreen, shrub with an attractive rounded habit and dense, grey-green foliage. Pale mauve to white flowers are present for most of the year. Perfectly suited to low borders, hedging, in large patio pots and shrubberies. Grows well in coastal areas and does best in a sunny, open position in most well drained soils. Tolerant of dry periods and light frost once established. Reaches heights of approximately 0.8m in height. |
