Hana Matoi is probably the most exciting new Japanese Maples. The pink variegation is gorgeous. The foliage holds up well even in hot climates. The spring foliage emerges purple with cream and pink variegation. As the temperatures rise heading into Summer the base colour changes from purple to green but the wonderful pink and cream variegation remain all Summer. This is a very unique variety of maple.
