| Description | Podocarpus salignus This Podocarp Plum Yew is a very rare plant in cultivation, native to Chile. It develops into a large, conical to rounded shrub or a small tree, clothed in gracefully weeping, broad needles. New growth emerges a vivid bright green before maturing to a rich, deep green, beautifully set against warm brown stems. On mature specimens, the trunk is adorned with striking cinnamon-coloured bark. Widely admired by collectors of rare plants, it is often considered one of the most beautiful trees available. It grows at a moderate to fast rate and can reach heights of at least 5 metres.
