| Description | Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus', Creeping Rosemary
Prostrate or Creeping Rosemary is a fast growing, hardy perennial shrub. It has the same attractive flowers and classic aroma as common rosemary, but grows low and spreading along the ground, making it an excellent ground cover, and is great to use in rock gardens or at the edge of large containers or in hanging baskets.
Prostrate Rosemary loves moist, well drained soil, and full sun. However it will tolerate some short dry spells. Not only is this plant handy for the kitchen garden, it looks stunning as well!
8''/20cm pot
Available online ONLY - Not in store. | Lavandula angustifolia
Munstead Lavender is a dwarf-rounded bush with aromatic grey-green foliage. It produces dense spikes of aromatic beautiful tiny purple to violet flowers during summer. These are lighter in colour than Hidcote Lavender, and the plant grows slightly larger.
8" pot size | Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'
Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall.
Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South. |
