Description

Rhaphidophora decursiva

Dragon's tail is an evergreen, hardy, giant climber with long aerial roots and green glossy lobed leaves. As the plant matures the leaves will start to split. It gives an appearance of a huge creeping fern that will create a wonderful tropical accent in any room, or dangling down a bookshelf. It will thrive in a humid environment, with moist soil and filtered light. It can handle sun but try not to keep it in an open position as it will get burnt on the hot Australian summers. Fact: Rhaphidophora Decursiva is often incorrectly labeled as Monstera decursiva - while Rhaphidophora and Monstera do share some common descendants, they are classified as two genera, and there is no such species as Monstera decursiva.
