Podocarpus macrophyllus

Commonly called Japanese Yew or Buddhist Pine, this evergreen conifer is prized for its elegant, upright growth and narrow, glossy green leaves. Versatile and hardy, it makes an excellent screening plant, clipped hedge, or feature tree, and adapts well to both formal and contemporary gardens.
  • Pruning: Easy to trim; ideal for hedges or topiary.
  • Feeding: Apply a slow-release fertilizer in spring.
  • Size: Can reach 6–10 m tall and 3–4 m wide
