| Acmena smithii
Forest Flame is a very compact form of Acmena smithii that can easily be kept pruned under 1m. It produces glossy fine green leaves with attractive bright red new growth. If you keep it regularly trimmed will not produce berries. This variety prefers a full sun or part shade position for best results and becomes extremely frost hardy once established. Will tolerate dry conditions once established and is reasonably frost tolerant.
