Description

Hydrangea paniculata

Hydrangea Candlelight® is a compact, round, deciduous shrub with upright, dark red stems and dark green leaves, before turning yellow and dropping off during autum. Conical panicles of white flowers turning deep pink-magenta with age appear when foliage drops. Mature growth is around 1.5m x 1.5m.

Hebe "Purple Haze"

Hebe "Purple Haze" is an old time favourite amongst many Australian gardeners. This variety has copper coloured buds that open up to reveal an abundance of rich purple flowers that are offset by glossy mid green leaves. Originally a native of New Zealand, Hebe's are renowned for their tough characteristics being tolerable of a wide range of conditions. Purple Haze is ideal for coastal locations. This easy to grow plant is noted for its long flowering season. Grows to approximately 1m in height and width. 6" pot size.

Acer rubrum

Common names: Red Maple, Canadian Maple, Swamp Maple, Scarlet Maple. Acer rubrum is a tall straight trunked tree with beautiful lobed and veined matt green leaves. The bark is grey, thin and smooth. The foliage will turn fantastic to shades of scarlet and gold in autumn before shedding its leaves for winter. Prefers deep, organic materials rich soil though will grow in most soil conditions.

Dryopteris marginalis Marginal sheild fern or Marginal Wood fern is an evergreen perennial fern, easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in part to full shade to full shade. Prefers moist, rich, acidic soils with protection from wind. Mature growth around 90cm tall - upright growth. 7''/18cm pot

Archontophoenix cunninghamiana

Bangalow Palms are native to Australia and are often used as indoor plants here down South. To grow into a very large tree they would probably require warmer climates than Melbourne, but as a small or medium size tree they look lovely anyway. Use Bangalow Palms as a clumped indoor plant or in a sheltered spot outdoors to add a tropical feel to the garden.

Ideal for improving privacy, it thrives well in almost every condition including wind and dry spells. The Conifer Castlewellan Gold is a highly popular, fast-growing hedging plant that gets its name from its golden foliage, achieved by planting in full sun. It can grow up to 10 meters tall in 5 years on a rural property. However for the urban block they are easily maintained at a height of 3m, perfect for hedging, avenues, and windbreaks. Recommended planting is 1.5m apart for dense hedging. It is very tough and hardy and will cope with extended dry periods and extreme cold once established. The Castlewellan Gold Conifer plant requires continuous care as it tends to grow very quickly. However, its growth can be easily regulated with regular trimming plus, along with Leighton Green conifers they are one of the most neat and dense hedges around.BoxOz Lonicera has been specially developed by Chris, and is our exclusive hedging plant. It has a deeper green foliage, a denser finish and more clearly defined shape than the traditional English Box. BoxOz Lonicera is the best plant with which to create your perfect hedge or border as it grows quickly and once your hedge has developed its easy to maintain with only a few trimmings a year. New shoots are soft and easy to cut and trimming is an effortless relaxing experience. Some traditional hedging plants grow only an inch or two a year. BoxOz Lonicera will produce a calf high border in under twelve months, a knee high hedge in around 18 months, and a waist high hedge in 30 months.
