Golden Ash is an attractive deciduous tree for all seasons with a rounded crown. The foliage is a light yellow colour turning pale green in summer. In autumn the foliage turns a brilliant golden yellow that is the main feature of this tree. In winter the young branches are yellow with distinctive black buds. The Common Medlar is a unique, old-world fruiting tree valued for its attractive spring blossoms and unusual autumn fruit. The fruit—known as medlars—ripen in late autumn and become soft and sweet after the traditional process of “bletting,” giving a flavour often compared to spiced apple or fig.

Everscreen Pears will only retain leaves in warmer climates. Cool climate areas such as rural Victoria are likely to see leaf drop in the winter but usually for only a period of up to 5 weeks. In cool climates it the Everscreen will get an autumnal colouring prior to leaf drop.
