| Description | Strelitzia nicolaiOften confused with the banana palm, Giant Bird of Paradise are a gorgeous, tropical looking perennial shrub that creates the tropical look even in cool climates! • Grows tall and narrow, often used indoors and out. • White and black bird like flowers • Tolerates poor soils, drought, coastal conditions and light frost | Malus domestica Golden Delicious apples are yellow and very sweet. The fruit features a fairly thin skin that makes it easy to eat. Golden Delicious apple trees have white blooms and dark green foliage. They polinate many other apple varieties, so are a good apple tree to include in your collection. Remember that apple trees need to be planted near other apple trees so that they can polinate eachother and produce fruit. Ideal companions for Golden Delicious apple trees are Fuji, Red Delicious and Pink Lady. This is because they all flower at a similar time. | Photinia robustaA fast growing, small tree widely used as a dense, colourful hedge • Dense glossy, green foliage that turns vibrant red in the winter • Very hardy, tolerating clay soil, drought and hard frost • Grown as both a small or tall hedge with white flowers in late spring 3"/7cm pot size. | ||||||
