Western Grey Box Gum, is a bigger tree growing to 25m tall, with narrow green foliage. It has a grey trunk with white patches and flaky bark that sheds in short ribbons. The name microcarpa comes from Greek 'micros' meaning small, and 'carpos' meaning fruit, referring to the small fruit it produces.
