| Description | Eucalyptus baueriana
Blue Box Gum is a medium sized tree that will reach a height of 15 metres. The bark is pale grey, fibrous and flaky. The foliage are oval and five to ten centimetres long by four to six centimetres wide. They are bluish-green in colour. Flowers are white to cream, 1.5 centimetres across and are both conspicuous and profuse during the flowering period in November and December.

Macrophylla perform best in a part shade position sheltered form the hot sun and wind with a rich, porous, moist soil. Dead head and prune to shape after flowering, Hydrangeas can be cut back quite hard if need be. Feed with an organic slow release fertiliser in late spring. White varieties do not change colour, no matter the pH.
