| Description | Colocasia Esculenta "Amazon Queen"
Amazon Queen is a tropical perennial with upright large elephant ear-like silvery, purple and green leaves and dark-purple stems. Great foliage feature in a tropical garden. Edible corms are know as taro. Grows to approximately 2m in height and 1.5m wide. It's leaves are frost tender & in colder climates tends to go dormant in Winter. | Allium schoenoprasum
Chives come from the same family as onions, leeks, and garlic. And originate from Northern Europe and North America. Chives are used as decorative borders in Britain. They are the mildest of all onions, and are probably the easiest to grow of all the culinary herbs! They are a hardy perennial herb and grow in clumps, in almost any soil condition. Although they prefer rich soil in a nice sunny position. They are also perfect to grow in pots. Splitting the plant every few years will ensure the plants survival. Chives can reach up to 60cm in height and don't have the typical onion bulb. The clumps have shoots of little purple flowers, which are very pretty and also edible. Use chives in sauces, fresh salads, in egg or omelette recipes or with cream cheese. Can be used as a garnish on soups or potatoes. Diced leaves are great mixed in sour cream for baked potatoes. Or why not mix with softened butter and add to grilled meat! When harvesting, cut close to the ground, which is better for the plant. Store in airtight plastic in the fridge for up to a week. You can also preserve chives in butters, oils, and vinaigrettes.

| Content | | | BoxOz Lonicera has been specially developed by Chris, and is our exclusive hedging plant. It has a deeper green foliage, a denser finish and more clearly defined shape than the traditional English Box.
BoxOz Lonicera is the best plant with which to create your perfect hedge or border as it grows quickly and once your hedge has developed its easy to maintain with only a few trimmings a year. New shoots are soft and easy to cut and trimming is an effortless relaxing experience.
Some traditional hedging plants grow only an inch or two a year. BoxOz Lonicera will produce a calf high border in under twelve months, a knee high hedge in around 18 months, and a waist high hedge in 30 months. Almost any soil is suitable, as long as it is not too swampy. Fertilise your BoxOz Lonicera occasionally with a complete fertiliser, and water as required. | | | | | | Daisy Spray Erigeron is a superior form of the Seaside Daisy, Erigeron karvinskianus, that will grow into a compact mound 60 cm in diameter and 40 cm tall. Daisy Spray Erigeron retains its compact shape & dosen’t self-sow and spread throughout the garden. Daisy Spray Erigeron’s soft pink & white daisy flowers are borne in a densely massed profusion for most of the year. Take a look at our fact sheet on Daisy Spray to find out more information. |
