Description

Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'

Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South.

Ficus microcarpa hillii 'Koh'

A small leaved ficus variety, Koh or California Ficus is ideal for shaping with an upright narrow habit. It has a non-aggressive root system, giving it good longevity in a pot and making it the preferred ficus option for planting near water pipes and pools. An excellent tolerance to coastal conditions, drought and full sun positions. It can be kept as a small hedge, approximately 1 to 3 metres, without competing any close plantings.

Polygala myrtifolia x dalmaisiana

Polygala Dazzler is a shrub that originates from South Africa and has attractive, almost year round, purple pea-like flowers on light green foliage. It makes a great flowering hedge. Polygala Dazzler prefers a well-drained position, but tolerates poor soils, frost and dry conditions. Pruning in early Spring will encourage bushiness and flowers. Best feed regularly with a slow release fertiliser. 6" pot size.
