Elizabeth is one of the finest in the Montana group and holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Its fragrant, pale pink flowers—up to 6 cm across—have a soft satin sheen and are accented by pale yellow stamens. A vigorous climber, it blooms in mid-spring at Lambley. If pruning is required, it’s best carried out after flowering. Suitable for sun or light shade, it can fill the still spring air with a wonderfully sweet fragrance.
