Description

Prunus avium

Stella Cherry trees have dark red heart shaped fruit with a delicious sweet flavour. They're a popular home garden variety with fruit ripening in mid December. Expect your first fruit when the plant is around 3 years old. It requires a full sun position with protection from wind but does not require a cross pollinator to bear fruit. While Stella Cherry trees are self pollinating, it's good to plant more than one variety to ensure they put out a good crop of fruit and to extend the fruiting season. Don't forget to net your cherry trees. The "avium" in their name is latin for BIRD, for a reason you can probably guess. 10"/25cm pot size

Quercus robur

English Oaks are famous for being solid and strong. The trunk and secondary branches are very solid and are covered in thick blackish-grey bark which makes it quite a sight. The autumn foliage is a rich, dark brown. As the foliage is smaller than other deciduous trees, fallen leaves are not particularly difficult to eliminate and will not clog drains. 10"/25cm pot

Acer palmatum dissectum 'Crimson Wave'

A stunning cut-leaf form of the 'Japanese Maple' has a more spreading than weeping habit. It has beautiful foliage that is a deep red colour in spring and summer. The autumn colour is a brighter red. Each plants has its own individual character and make stunning features in Japanese gardens or near ornamental ponds.
