The Brush Box a vigorous long lived native Australian tree that is commonly used in urban areas, where it is planted as a street tree.
It is also planted in large gardens and parks for shade, preferring a sunny position. Once established it has a low water requirement, responding to mulch and an occasional deep watering during dry periods, particularly for young plants.

It produces medium-sized clingstone fruit that are sweet to taste straight off the tree, and are exceptionally good for drying.
