| Description | Allocasuarina torulosaThe Forest Sheoak is a hardy native Australian tree with a light brown bark with deep fissures. The leaves are thin green needles like a pine tree. A good garden specimen. Male Forest Sheoak trees have gold flowers in Autumn and the female have rounded warty cones. In Winter the branches turn a beautiful copper colour. Sheoaks are good for windbreaks and screening. | Teucrium marum Cat Thyme is an evergreen low growing shrub with green silvery scented foliage and pink flowers. It is self fertile and pollinated by bees and insects. The plant has a bitter taste and gives off a sensation of heat, which some to describe as a peppery taste. There is a history of medicinal use, however, there does not seem to be a culinary application for cat thyme. Mature growth: 30x30cm (can get bigger depending on conditions) 4''/10cm pot | |
