Description

Acmena smithii 'Cherry Surprise'

Acmena Cherry Surprise is a native Australian, compact, low branching shrub with shiny green foliage and bright red new growth. This shrub produces cream flowers that bloom in Spring and Summer. Considered a dwarf lilly pilly reaching only 3m tall. Cherry Surprise has low water needs and is hardy as well as frost and dry tolerant, it also responds well to shaping. Can be placed anywhere from full sun to heavy shade.

Beta vulgaris

Perpetual Spinach, is neither a spinach nor is it perpetual. It is in fact a member of the Chard and Beet family. It is a hardy biennial, and will grow almost anywhere in the garden as long as it isn't in too much shade. It can grow up to 50cm tall and wide. And regular harvesting is good for the plant and will encourage new fresh growth. The leaves of this little beauty tastes a bit like asparagus, and need to be used fresh as soon as they're picked. They can be added to salads, or quickly tossed on a hot pan to cook! 4''/10cm pot
