Description

Ficus obliqua 'Figaro'

'Figaro' is the naturally compact, low growing form of Ficus. This evergreen little shrub produces thick, glossy green leaves and minimal to no flowers in the cooler climates. It is incredibly hardy once established, even tolerating frosts and coastal conditions whilst maintaining its tropical look. See our Ficus Hedging & Screening Factsheet here for more about the different Ficus varieties!

Citrus australasica

Pink Ice was one of the first commercialised finger lime varieties, and is a medium size shrub producing red to burgundy coloured fruits with clear or pink pearls of juice inside. The aroma of the fruits is similar to ruby grapefruit, and is perfect for cocktails and drinks, as well as cooking. Bears fruit from summer to autumn. It is a great variety for growing in containers and in warm courtyards, and does best in full sun. Water thoroughly in spring and summer, especially on hot days. Use fertiliser in spring and in late summer, keeping it away from the trunk of the plant. Prune to shape in the later spring months. 7"/18cm pot

Jacaranda mimosifolia

The Jacaranda tree puts on a breathtaking floral display. Its vivid lilac-blue clusters of trumpet shaped blossoms appear in the summer, later falling to the earth carpeting the ground with a mass of color. It is said that if you are walking underneath the Jacaranda tree and one of the trumpet blossoms falls on your head you will be favored by fortune. 100L bag
