| Description | Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'Dwarf Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South. 8"/20cm pot | Hydrangea macrophylla 'Saturn' Saturn hydrangea is a ‘mop head’ form with bi-color umbels. It is part of the ‘Star Line’ selection from Europe. Each sepal has a deep crimson centre with a thick white margin. Like most of the mop heads the color can be changed by creating an acidic soil. Saturn, like most Hydrangeas, are tolerant of most frosts and coastal conditions. They will grow in full sun but need to be kept well watered and prefer part shade to filtered sun. Plants can be dead headed when finished flowering but if in heavy frost areas it is best to leave the flowers on until late Winter. It likes a good feed with Osmocote in Spring. If the bush requires a prune, remove the oldest stems from the base and allow the new young ones to grow away. The Saturn Hydrangea grows to around 1m high and produces masses of flowers in mid Summer. | Callistemon viminalisRed Alert Bottle Brush produces vibrant, red flowers from Spring through to Autumn, attracting our nectar loving birdlife. Its foliage is soft with the new growth tinged with red, making it a two-toned shrub. It is drought, frost, salt and wind tolerant, making it a very low maintenance plant. Growing 2.5 metres tall by 2 metres wide, it clips well and makes a great hedge or can be used as an individual plant. 6" pot size. | Rosa hybrid teaBlue Moon produces large silvery blue flowers on long stems that are highly fragrant! The lavender coloured blooms are perfect for mass planting, cut flowers, rose & cottage gardens! Blue Moon is hardy, vigorous and repeat flowering. Available in more variations. 8" pot size, approximately 2ft in height. | Malus domesticaGranny Smith apples are the green apple of Aussie choice, originating in Australia. While we eat them raw by the bucketload, they're really best as a cooking apple and a key ingredient of Apple Crumble. Granny Smith apples also make great cider. Remember that apple trees need to be planted near other apple trees so that they can pollinate each other and produce fruit. Ideal companions for Granny Smith apple trees are Snow, Fuji and Pink Lady. This is because they all flower at a similar time. 8''/20cm pot - approx 5ft tall! | ||||||||||||||||||||
