Julia’s Rose is a delicate parchment brown rose that fades to copper shades, and features a medium upright growth. | Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'
Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall.
Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South. | Acacia melanoxylon
Acacia 'Blackwood' is an iconic Australian tree famous for its timber, which has been extensively used for quality specialist furniture since European settlement.
Growing into a large shade tree, the Blackwood's dense foliage makes it an ideal choice for a screen or windbreak with its pale yellow cream flowers blooming in winter and spring. It is cold and frost tolerant with low flammability and high tolerance to poor soils and drought. Plant with Acacia Lightwood, which flowers in summer, for year-round interest.
