Native to China it is usually found on mountain slopes and forests and as a result, has a high frost tolerance. It will take 10 years to reach 1 metre in height, but definately worth the wait! Shaggy Box is ideal to hedge, can be used as an individual shrub and would look equally good in a pot. This is a slow growing plant that reaches approximately 1m in height. It performs best in part shade locations. Ideal for pots, topiary and even bonsai.
