| Description | Quercus lusitanica 'Gall Oak'Gall Oak is a species of oak native to Portugal, Spain and Morocco. These have been used for centuries in softening leather and in making black dye and ink. In India the galls are called majuphal among many other names. The stems are crooked, shrubby looking with smooth and bright-green foliage thats shiny on the top. This tree has many uses. 16" pot size. | Cydonia oblonga Pineapple Quince is an ancient variety that is a vigorous growing tree with extra large foliage, fruit harvests late, and a very nice flavour with a pineapple-like aroma. It is useful for baking, and jams, and makes a terrific quince jelly, and profuse ornamental blossom. These will cook up to a lighter colour than other quinces. 10"/25cm pot size. | Citrus sinensisCara Cara Oranges is a variety of Navel orange with pink flesh. Despite their appearance, their taste is sweet like an orange (not acidic like a grapefruit). Cara Cara Oranges like all oranges, need a warm spot in the garden. 16" pot size. | Acer palmatum dissectum Lionheart is a very vigorous, large-growing variety that is more upright when young and becomes more spreading with age. This cultivar can grow to approximately 3-4 in height and width. Its spring colour is bright red, holding well into Summer before turning bronze or green. Shelter from cold winds and late frosts. Plant in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Lionheart is a stunning deciduous tree that is fairly hard to find. | Quercus Acutissima "Sawtooth Oak"Sawtooth Oak is a medium sized deciduous oak, that typically grows 40-60ft in height with a broad-spreading, rounded crown. It has gray to black bark with insignificant yellowish-green flowers. It produces oblong to lance-shaped, chestnut-like, glossy dark green foliage. Autumn color is variable, ranging from an attractive golden brown to undistinguished pale brown. This low maintenance tree likes a full sunlight position. 12" pot size. | Helleborus hybridIce 'n Roses Merlot is a stunning interspecies hybrid from Germany prized for its spectacular display of large, forward-facing deep burgundy flowers, with a huge central boss of stamens. The flowers are borne on tall stems over a long periods above evergreen foliage. An excellent subject for a patio pot. This variety is bee attracting. Best placed in a full sunlight to partial shade location. Grows to approximately 30cm in height. 7"/18cm pot |
