It has gray to black bark with insignificant yellowish-green flowers. It produces oblong to lance-shaped, chestnut-like, glossy dark green foliage. Autumn color is variable, ranging from an attractive golden brown to undistinguished pale brown. This low maintenance tree likes a full sunlight position. 12" pot size. | Helleborus hybridIce 'n Roses Merlot is a stunning interspecies hybrid from Germany prized for its spectacular display of large, forward-facing deep burgundy flowers, with a huge central boss of stamens. The flowers are borne on tall stems over a long periods above evergreen foliage. An excellent subject for a patio pot. This variety is bee attracting.
