Crataegus phaenopyrum

Washington Hawthorn/Thornapple is a hedging shrub or tree native to North Carolina where it is often found in low swamps and river bottoms near mountains. It is noted for its attractive flowers, foliage and red fruits. Can reach 10m in height. Likes to be protected from wind so keep in a sheltered spot.
