Common names: Pitcher Plants or Trumpet Plants.
Sarracenia is a genus of carnivorous plants Indigenous to the eastern seaboard of the United States. They produce upright, funnel or pitcher shapes to trap insects and digest nutrients. They are very delicate plants and will need at least 6 hours of sunlight daily, sheltered by winds and frosts. Keep soil moist and use Sphagnum moss or peat moss.

Will benefit from pruning and deadheading after flowering season. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. May require extra watering over long, hot, dry summers.
