Description

Cercis canadensis 'Flame'

The 'Flame' Redbud is a small feature tree, that unlike other Redbuds, produces vibrant red new growth and double-petal rose-pink flowers. It is a gorgeous deciduous tree that loves both full sunlight and partial shade. This tree is butterfly and bee attracting and is late flowering compared to other varieties, but well worth the wait!   See our Cercis Factsheet here for more about the different Cercis varieties!

Acer palmatum 'Arakawa'

Arakawa produces rough bark which shows up after several years of growth and becomes quite prominent as the maple ages. This variety is a vigorous grower that is also hardy. It produces a fantastic Autumn colour with foliage turning bright orange and red. Loves a position of full sun or part shade. Can tolerate cold temperates.

Echium candicans

Also known as Pride of Madeira, (Echium candicans syn. Echium fastuosum) is a stunning architectural plant! The large spires of blue purple flower spikes with delicate pink stamens throughout Spring and Summer provide the perfect highlight above the silvery foliage. This hardy perennial loves a full sun or part shade position. Drought tolerant frost hardy and grows well in dry climates. Ideal for adding the wow factor to your garden. Echium tends to last only 3-5 years before looking a bit raggedy, but plants will usually drop a few seeds in this timeframe and a new one will replace the older version. Can be grown in a large tub to create a magnificent highlight.
