Description

Acacia covenyi 'Blue Bush Wattle'

A rarer form of Acacia, the 'Blue Bush Wattle' has long, blue-grey foliage unlike any other. The foliage alone is one of the main reasons this wattle is chosen for hedging or screening, making a gorgeous steel blue wall of hardy foliage. And in the spring it's flush with the iconic yellow pom-pom wattle flowers, contrasting vibrantly against the foliage.

To get the best flowering results, plant in full sun, but Blue Bush Wattle can grow well in part shade. They do not like soggy soils, so be sure to plant in a well drained position.

6"/14cm pot
Salvia nemorosa  Will benefit from pruning and deadheading after flowering season. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. May require extra watering over long, hot, dry summers.
  • Attracts Birds, Bees and Butterflies
  • Fragrant
  • Drought tolerant

Vitis vinifera

Ornamental Vine is deciduous climber with large green leaves in the summer following with vibrant red and orange autumn colour. This is actually an ornamental (non-fruiting) variety of grape vine that has some fabulous features: it is very hardy, fast growing, long lived and tolerates a range of soils. Ornamental Grape Vines are happy in full sun to part shade and are relatively fast growing. 8''/20cm pot

Carpinus betulus pendula

The Weeping European Hornbeam is a magnificent and graceful tree that is tough and can withstand harsh temperatures and climates. It is easy to grow and maintain. Deciduous, it puts on a show of golden yellow Autumn colour and lets light in through Winter. This is a grafted Weeping Tree, which means it has been created with a tall straight trunk, and will not grow taller than roughly 5-6ft, instead getting a fuller head and thicker trunk with maturity. 16"/40cm pot size.

Buxus microphylla japonica

Japanese Box is a hardy evergreen compact shrub with dark green oval foliage when mature, its new growth being a light green colour. Japanese Box is the best box hedge for warmer regions as it tolerates heat better than other Buxus plants. It is suitable for a full sun to part shade position and requires little water once established. Japanese Box are a traditional favourite, as they are perfect for formal evergreen hedges. Small glossy green foliage on a compact dense shrub, make them perfect for clipping or topiary. Buxus japonica can grow in full shade but will take much longer to establish. This plant has a moderate growth rate growing to approximately 1m in height. Plant 25cm apart  - 4 per meter for an optimum hedge.
ContentSalvia nemorosa A small dense, rounded shrub with masses of bright pink flower spikes from spring to autumn. Perfect for mass planting, low borders, cottage gardens, pots or features.
