Description

Pittosporum tenuifolium

Irene Patterson is a quick growing, dense pittosporum with fine pale green leaves edged with creamy white, giving them a frosted look. Perfect for hedges and screens due to its "shape-abillity". Irene Patterson Pittosporums grow to a height of 2-3 meters but can be clipped shorter. Plant them 1 metre apart for a good screen or hedge. Water well while establishing.

Convolvulus cneorum

Contrasting foliage makes Convolvulus Silver Bush a striking feature in the garden. • Slender silver foliage with bright, white cupped flowers • Low growing, only 40cm high and round • A beautiful addition to a cottage, low maintenance or potted garden 6"/14cm pot size.

Pennisetum setaceum 'Rubrum'

Semi-perennial ornamental clumping grass with burgundy red foliage • Very hardy, tolerating most soil and weather conditions • Gorgeous, feathery seed heads that sway in the wind • Grown as a feature, mixed into cottage or coastal garden beds or lining fence lines This plant dies back in winter and will re-shoot in late spring! Please be aware if you purchase this plant between May and November it will "look dead". It is not dead.

Stachys byzantina (syn. lanata)

Irresistibly soft, furry silver foliage, the 'Lambs Ear' is a must have in every Cottage garden. • Tall purple flowers • Looks great in pots, rockeries, along pathways and mass planted • Tolerates dry soils

Wisteria sinensis

A popular variety of Chinese Wisteria, Blue Pacific is a heavy flowering vine with slightly smaller flowers than that of the Wisteria floribunda. • Long, fragrant mauve/purple/blue flowers covering bare vines in the early spring • Can be trained to climb along a fence, trellis, arbour or archways. • Prefers a full sun position in moist, well-drained soil See our Wisteria Factsheet here for more about the different Wisteria varieties!
