Description

Loropetalum chinense

Loropetalums are lovely low growing, sprawling shrubs that work well as a combination shrub and groundcover. Loropetalum Blush has burgundy foliage with pink flowers in Spring and Summer.

Use Loropetalums to underplant trees, cover beds or as an informal or border around stone walls or in pots. A good evergreen alternative to carpet roses. Needs some pruning to keep it under 1 meter tall.

Thuja occidentalis

Smaragd Conifers have lush soft green foliage and grow into a conical shape not exceeding 1.2m in width and 3m in height. Plant them in large pots or plant them as an obelisk style feature, or along a fence as a low maintenance screen.

Pyrus pyrifolia

Chojuro is often known as one of the richest flavored Asian pears. It has beautiful, golden fruit with a distinct sweet flavor when ripened. This variety is very productive and produces medium to large fruit. It will grow to a height of around 3-4m. Likes a position of full sunlight and well drained soil.

Cedrus deodara

Himalayan Cedar is an evergreen conifer with gracefully spreading branches that grows to 20 - 40 meters in height. It has a fast growth rate initially but slows with age.

Himalayan Cedar Trees are hardy once established and require minimal water too. Grows best in a position of full sunlight. Ideal for golf courses, large gardens and parks.

Why buy a Smaragd Conifer?

[one_half] [/one_half] [one_half_last] A Smaragd Conifer is very useful as a self-shaping, low maintenance topiary cone - it keeps its cone shape with minimal to no trimming. The Smaragd Conifer easily grows in average, medium and well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It tolerates wide range of soils. This plant also likes humid weather with regular rains. Appreciates good root space. Prune in early spring before onset of new growth. [/one_half_last]
