DescriptionMagnolia grandifora Magnolia 'Big Gem™️' is a lusciously large evergreen Magnolia. The leaves are large and pointed with less gloss than other Magnolias. Along with the large leaves are gorgeously bright, white and heavily fragrant big flowers in the warmer months. They are quite hardy trees, tolerating most soil and weather conditions and make wonderful feature hedges, large shade trees or specimen plants. Trademark applied for by Lucas finance. See our Magnolia & Michelia - Evergreen Factsheet here for more about the different Magnolia Michelia varieties!

Lagerstroemia indica x fauriei 'Zuni'

'Zuni' Crepe Myrtles are tough, small trees that offer attractive bark, masses of pink-purple mauve like flowers in summer and good yellow-orange autumn colours. One of the most popular hardy small trees around. Crepe Myrtles are adaptable to most conditions, suitable for small gardens or amenity areas and can be a very effective street tree.

Ginkgo biloba

The Ginkgo or Maidenhair Tree is remarkably known as a 'living fossil', as it is the sole survivor of an ancient group of trees that date back to beyond the time of the dinosaurs. It is a perfect specimen or feature tree due to its long life and showy light green leaves which turn golden in Autumn. The leaves are an interesting ruffled shape.

The Maidenhair Tree remains virtually unchanged today and represents the only living bridge between 'higher' and 'lower' plants (between ferns and conifers). Maidenhair trees can be extremely long-lived, the oldest recorded individual being 3,500 years old.
